Two more projects have been awarded funding in Northamptonshire as part of the HS2 Community and Business Funds.
Thorpe Mandeville Village Hall receives £31,000 for hall renovation
The Thorpe Mandeville Village Hall Trust's project will develop and repair the community building to ensure it is fit for purpose for the future. The CEF funding will go towards re-tiling and insulating the roof, installing an efficient and environmentally-friendly heating system and resurfacing the path and yard to provide safe disabled access.
Chipping Warden and Edgcote Parish Council receive £75,000 for play area and outdoor gym
Chipping Warden and Edgcote Parish Council's recreation ground project will see the installation of a full range of multi-use play and outdoor gym equipment, providing a safe and accessible activity area for the whole community. It will be suitable for all ages, from pre-school children to the elderly and designed with the heritage of the village and local conservation area in mind.
The community and business funds are administered and managed by independent community charity, Groundwork UK. For more information on Groundwork and the funds, including how to apply, click here .
