News on HS2 in Northants

Fusion, via Buckingham Group Contracting Ltd, will begin works on the Sulgrave Road/B4525 junction at the end of October, starting with the welfare installation. The works will involve junction widening along the B4525 and extend down Sulgrave Road. As the work progresses you will start to see more activities taking place including:

• Minor verge vegetation removal and grass clearance

• Utility diversions

• Road widening and earthworks

• New road surfacing and markings

• Installation of new road signs

Traffic Management Measures

Initially we will need to install temporary traffic signals on the B4525 to manage the traffic for the safety of road users and our staff involved with the works.

As works progress, a full road closure will be necessary on Sulgrave Road at the junction with the B4525 from early November 2019 until February 2020, although we endeavour to reduce this. The road closure is required due to the narrow width coupled with the need to remove the old road and build the new one.

We also have maps of where the works are taking place and the diversion routes. When required, the diversion routes will always be clearly signposted.
