News on HS2 in Northants

Our works to build the railway are underway in the Chipping Warden to Boddington area. Over the next few months, you can expect to see the following works in the local area:

• Utility works including trial holes;

• Land surveys to measure land levels;

• Ground Investigations (GI);

• Continued construction of the office accommodation and welfare facilities at Chipping Warden compound;

• The installation of a concrete batching plant;

• Further localised clearance of vegetation and fencing along the line of the route;

• Construction of access and haul roads to move people and materials along the line of the new railway, rather than on local roads;

• Site preparation at Highfurlong Brook, including the construction of a temporary access bridge;

• Excavation, movement, and storage of earthworks in the Highfurlong, Aston Le Walls, Lower Boddington and Boddington areas;

• Short-duration traffic management and temporary footpath diversions to carry out some of the above activities.
